Robert Mancini, managing director and co-head of Carlyle Power Partners, Carlyle Group's power infrastructure business, is retiring on June 30, said spokesman Christopher Ullman in an email.
Matt O'Connor, fellow co-head, will be sole head of the business, Mr. Ullman said.
Mr. Mancini joined Carlyle following the completion of the alternative investment's firm purchase of the North American business of Cogentrix Energy, an independent power producer. Mr. Mancini had been a managing director at Goldman Sachs Group, which owned Cogentrix. He was also CEO of Cogentrix. He is currently chairman of the board at Cogentrix.
