David I. Kim was named head of Asia-Pacific region sales for Northern Trust's corporate and institutional business, the firm's asset servicing unit, said a Northern Trust spokesman.
He replaces Angelo Calvitto, who will lead Northern Trust's Australasia business, comprising Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
Mr. Kim will report to Jon Dunham, global head of corporate and institutional sales, and William Mak, president of the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Kim was managing director at BNY Mellon Asset Servicing. A Bank of New York Mellon spokesman could not be immediately reached for details on his replacement.
