Oklahoma Police Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, committed $15 million to Thompson Street Capital Partners V, a midmarket buyout fund, according to recently released minutes from the $2.5 billion pension plan.
The pension fund previously committed $7.5 million to predecessor fund Thompson Street Capital Partners IV in 2015, $7.5 million to Thompson Street Capital Partners III in 2011 and $10 million to Thompson Street Capital Partners II in 2006.
The pension fund had an actual allocation of 7.6% to private equity and a target allocation of 10% as of March 31.
The commitment was made at its March 28 meeting and at the recommendation of the system's investment consultant, Asset Consulting Group.
