University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, hired Artisan Partners to manage $200 million in international equities in its Non-U.S. Value Fund, according to documents from the board of regents' meeting Thursday.
The strategy can invest in both developed and emerging markets, and is new for the $11.3 billion long-term endowment pool. The funding source was not identified.
University regents approved the investment recommendation of Kevin P. Hegarty, executive vice president and the chief financial officer.
