John Pattar was named member and head of KKR & Co.'s real estate business in Asia-Pacific.
The Hong Kong-based partner-level position as head of Asia-Pacific real estate is new, said a Singapore-based spokesman for the firm.
A news release said Mr. Pattar will lead KKR's real estate team in Asia in sourcing attractive real estate investment opportunities across the Asia-Pacific region, while assisting Asia-based clients "in partnering with KKR to access real estate opportunities globally."
The spokesman declined to specify when Mr. Pattar will officially start work at KKR.
The release said Mr. Pattar will join from CLSA Capital Partners in Hong Kong, where he served as CEO of CLSA Real Estate.
CLSA Capital Partners spokeswoman Simone Wheeler couldn't be reached for comment.
