Thomas Wittwer was named CEO of Vontobel Asset Management Inc., the U.S. quality growth boutique of Zurich-based Vontobel Asset Management, said spokeswoman Hannah Fuchs.
He replaces Philipp Hensler, who has been CEO since 2014 and has decided to leave the firm to seek an executive position outside of Vontobel. Further details were not available.
Mr. Wittwer was head of sales and marketing at Vontobel Asset Management Inc. Amit Mukadam, executive director, institutional clients, for the southeastern U.S. region, and Chris Walsh, director, institutional financial intermediaries, North America, will assume his responsibilities. Mr. Mukadam will lead the North America institutional distribution team, while Chris Walsh will continue to lead the firm's North American institutional financial intermediaries division.
Vontobel Asset Management Inc. is one of six boutiques within Vontobel Asset Management, and has $37.4 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
