Simeon Willis was named chief investment officer at consultant Xafinity Punter Southall, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Willis is responsible for strategic asset allocation advice and manager research across all asset classes.
"I worked with (Mr. Willis) for 10 years and know just how good he is at developing thinking and advice that really adds value to clients," said Patrick McCoy, head of investment, in a news release.
Mr. Willis was head of investment strategy at KPMG. A spokeswoman could not be reached for information about a replacement.
Xafinity Punter Southall has more than £8 billion ($10.8 billion) in assets under advisement.
