Michael Wray was named chief operating officer and director of strategic investment solution at JLT Employee Benefits, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Wray is responsible for strategy, development and innovation across JLT's investment management and consulting capabilities.
"(Mr. Wray's) knowledge and expertise in areas such as fiduciary management, liability-driven investing, target-date funds, cashflow-driven investing and alternatives, will undoubtedly strengthen our existing capabilities and expand the range of solutions we bring to clients," Mark McNulty, head of investment solutions, said in a news release.
Mr. Wray was most recently senior investment solutions designer at Fidelity International. A spokeswoman could not be reached by press time.
JLT has £4.5 billion ($6.2 billion) in assets under management.
