Worcester (Mass.) Retirement System is looking to allocate about $25 million to an international developed market small-cap equities manager.
Meketa Investment Group, investment consultant to the $847 million pension plan, is assisting with the search.
The system had a 12% target allocation to international developed market equity as of Dec. 31, 2016, according to its most recently available annual report. Its international equity managers at that time were Acadian Asset Management, Dimensional Fund Advisors, Lazard Asset Management and State Street Global Advisors.
The RFP is available on Meketa's website. Proposals are due at noon EDT May 17. A selection date was not disclosed.
David Hetzer and Steve MacLellan, vice presidents at Meketa Investment Group, and Elizabeth Early, the pension fund's executive secretary, could not be reached for comment by press time.
