Charles Jewkes was named head of global financial institutions at Aviva Investors, a spokesman said.
The position is new.
Mr. Jewkes is based in London and reports to TJ Voskamp, global head of wholesale distribution. He leads the firm's third-party strategic business development with global financial institutions outside the U.K.
"We have ambitious plans across the global markets where we operate and his strong relationships and deep knowledge of local markets will be a great asset as we continue to deepen our footprint internationally," Mr. Voskamp said in a news release.
Mr. Jewkes was director, global financial institutions at Fulcrum Asset Management. A spokesman there could not be reached for comment by press time.
Aviva Investors has £352 billion ($501 billion) in assets under management.
