Giorgio Ventura was named global head of sales at Carmignac, a spokesman said.
Mr. Ventura replaced Davide Fregonese, who "resigned to dedicate himself to new challenges," the spokesman added.
Mr. Ventura, who is head of Italy, will maintain his responsibilities as country lead.
"Mr. Ventura is ideally suited for this strategic role, given his solid experience with clients and his deep understanding of the culture. He will lead our business development on a global level, according to our long-term business model," said Eric Helderle, general manager at Carmignac, in a news release.
Carmignac has €55 billion ($68 billion) in assets under management.
