Georgina Fogo was named chief risk officer at Janus Henderson Investors, a spokeswoman said.
Ms. Fogo will replace David Kowalski on July 2. Mr. Kowalski retired at the end of 2017, the spokeswoman added.
Ms. Fogo is responsible for the development of a global risk and compliance strategy.
"With the regulatory landscape for (money) managers and clients becoming increasingly complex, (Ms. Fogo's) experience will be invaluable in ensuring Janus Henderson remains at the forefront of the agenda and best risk management practice," co-CEOs Dick Weil and Andrew Formica said in a news release.
Ms. Fogo was most recently global head of compliance at BlackRock. A spokesman said Ms. Fogo will be replaced by Una Neary, partner and head of regulatory practice group at Goldman Sachs Group.
Janus Henderson has £274.1 billion ($390.1 billion) in assets under management.
