Tampa (Fla.) General Employees' Retirement Fund is conducting a shortlist search for an active domestic large-cap growth equity manager to run about $96 million, said Natasha Wiederholt, pension plan supervisor, in an email.
The $728 million pension fund is conducting the search because of the departure of Daniel Becker, senior portfolio manager at current manager Ivy Investment Management. The pension board at its Tuesday meeting approved the search to replace the manager.
Investment consultant Asset Consulting Group will bring a shortlist to the pension fund's May 15 meeting, with finalist presentations scheduled for the board's June 19 meeting; a decision is expected shortly thereafter.
Dodge & Cox is the pension fund's other active domestic large-cap equity manager and runs a $95 million value portfolio.
Interested managers can contact Asset Consulting Group, Ms. Wiederholt said.
