Jac McLean was named senior managing director and head of U.S. distribution at New York Life Investment Management, spokeswoman Jacqueline Meere confirmed.
The position is new. Effective in early June, Mr. McLean will focus on building and leading the firm's distribution division across the U.S. He will report to CEO Yie-Hsin Hung.
Mr. McLean was head of distribution for Hartford Funds. It could not be learned if he was replaced; spokesman Thomas Hambrick could not be reached.
NYLIM had $316 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
