Christopher M. Graff was named co-chief investment officer of RMB Capital.
The position is new, an RMB spokesman said. Mr. Graff will work alongside Richard M. Burridge Jr., RMB's founding partner, CEO and co-CIO.
"Bringing Chris into this role has been a long time coming, as he's been my co-pilot through almost two full market cycles," Mr. Burridge said in a news release.
Mr. Graff will maintain his previous title and duties as managing director of RMB Asset Management, RMB Capital's institutional business.
RMB Capital manages a total of $9 billion in assets in U.S. and international equities, fixed income, absolute return, private equity and real estate.
