North East Scotland Pension Fund, Aberdeen, committed £100 million ($140 million) to Hermes Infrastructure Fund II, managed by Hermes Investment Management, according to pensions committee documents.
The £3.8 billion pension fund's asset allocation is 55% equities, 15% each alternative assets and bonds, 10% property and 5% cash.
A spokesman could not be reached to provide additional details by press time.
