Ellen Tsang joined State Street Global Advisors at the start of April as head of marketing for Asia ex-Japan.
The Hong Kong-based role is a new one, focused on building out SSGA’s presence in institutional and intermediary channels in the region, an SSGA spokeswoman said in an email.
Ms. Tsang comes to SSGA from Aberdeen Standard Investments, where she served as head of marketing for Asia ex-Japan.
A spokeswoman for Aberdeen Standard Investments said Ms. Tsang won't be replaced directly, with her responsibilities being taken up by other members of the marketing team. She noted that Aberdeen Standard Investments hired David Mitchell, a former marketing executive with Fidelity International, at the start of 2018 as head of marketing, Asia-Pacific.
