Elizabeth Grier was named director and sales executive at BNY Mellon, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Ms. Grier is responsible for hedge funds, exchange-traded funds and structured products sales. She reports to Scott Coey, managing director and head of business development, hedge fund, ETF and structured products.
"(Ms. Grier) has a wealth of knowledge in the alternatives sector, gained through working directly for and with a variety of private equity and hedge fund focused banks and alternative investment firms. Her appointment underlines our strategic priority of continuing the development of our strong market position in alternative investment services," Mr. Coey said in a news release.
Ms. Grier previously was executive director responsible for client services at J.P. Morgan Chase. A spokesman could not be reached to comment about her replacement.
BNY Mellon has $33.3 trillion in assets under custody.
