Perry Offutt was named head of infrastructure Americas at UBS Asset Management, spokeswoman Sheryl Lee said.
Effective in June, he will replace Floyd Gent, who will take on a new portfolio company-focused senior advisory role within the company.
Mr. Offutt will lead the U.S. team within the company's $4 billion infrastructure platform and help boost its presence in the region. He will be based in New York and report to Tommaso Albanese, head of infrastructure.
Mr. Offutt was a managing director of the North American investment team at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets. A Macquarie Group spokeswoman declined to comment on whether or not he is being replaced.
UBS Asset Management had 776 billion Swiss francs ($795 billion) in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
