Yan Yan was named managing director in the real estate team at Blackstone Group, said spokeswoman Emilie Stanton in an email.
It is a new position. Ms. Yan, who is based in Hong Kong, reports to Tim Wang, senior managing director in Blackstone's real estate group and head of real estate-China.
She previously was president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer at SOHO China, a prime office real estate developer in China.
