Robert Branagh was named managing director at the London Pensions Fund Authority, London, said a spokesman.
Mr. Branagh replaces Mike Allen, who is retiring from the £5.3 billion ($7.4 billion) pension fund. Mr. Allen has been at LPFA since its inception in 1990.
Mr. Branagh manages relationships with all key stakeholders, ensuring the fund's "responsibilities and obligations are fulfilled and delivered to the highest standard," said a news release.
Mr. Branagh is the president of the Pensions Management Institute, which helps to support pension fund executives.
