Alexandria (Va.) Firefighters' & Police Officers' Pension Plan and the city's Supplemental Retirement Plan are searching for an emerging markets equities manager to run $8 million and $5 million, respectively, said an RFP posted on the website of Dahab Associates, the pension funds' investment consultant.
The plans issued the RFP for a single manager to run the portfolios for both plans. Further information on a current manager and whether the firm is invited to rebid could not be immediately learned.
The firefighters' and police officers' plan has about $320 million in assets, and the city's supplemental pension plan for general employees has about $135 million in assets.
The RFP is available on Dahab's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EDT on May 4. A timeline for a decision has yet to be determined.
