Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, Columbus, hired Arrowstreet Capital to manage about $750 million in active international equities, said David Graham, pension fund spokesman, in an email.
The $15.4 billion pension fund conducted a shortlist search earlier this year, and other finalists were Baillie Gifford and Harding Loevner. Funding comes from a transition portfolio managed by Russell Investments since the termination of Thornburg Investment Management in 2014.
As of Jan. 31, the actual allocation to international equities was 21.1%; the target is 16%.
