Mark Voccola was named managing director and co-head of U.S. infrastructure at Ardian, spokeswoman Cameron Njaa confirmed. The position is new.
Beginning in August, Mr. Voccola will co-lead Ardian's U.S. infrastructure activities alongside Stefano Mion, also managing director and co-head of U.S. infrastructure. He will be part of Ardian's infrastructure global team now composed of 30 investment professionals. He will be based in New York and report to Mathias Burghardt, global head of infrastructure.
Mr. Voccola was a partner within Ares Management's private equity group where he was responsible for appraising investment opportunities and monitoring portfolio companies. His responsibilities are being assumed by the rest of the team, which continues to grow, said Ares spokesman Bill Mendel.
Ardian has $67 billion in global assets under management or advisement.
