Hawaii Employees' Retirement System, Honolulu, hired executive search firm Kumabe HR to assist with the pension fund's search for a chief investment officer, said Thomas Williams, executive director, in an email.
Howard Hodel, the $16.3 billion pension fund's risk officer, took over as acting CIO on March 1, following the February departure of previous CIO Vijoy Chattergy.
Mr. Williams did not provide the reason for the Mr. Chattergy's departure.
