Stephanie Miller Pierce joined BNY Mellon Asset Management North America as head of investment strategy and innovation.
The position is new, spokesman Andrew Conn said. Ms. Pierce started Monday.
BNY Mellon AMNA was created earlier this year when BNY Mellon Investment Management merged three of its boutique investment management companies — Mellon Capital Management, Standish Mellon Asset Management Co. and Boston Co. Asset Management.
Ms. Pierce will oversee the integration of the investment strategies of the three internal managers to develop specialist multiasset investment approaches, Mr. Conn said.
"In this vital new role, Stephanie will be at the nexus of product innovation and addressing client needs," said Des Mac Intyre, chairman and CEO of BNY Mellon AMNA. Ms. Pierce reports to Mr. Mac Intyre.
Ms. Pierce was executive vice president, investment product group, Fidelity Investments. Fidelity spokesman Vincent Loporchio said Ms. Pierce left more than a year ago.
