New York State Teachers' Retirement System, Albany, is searching for a private equity/private debt consultant, said John Cardillo, spokesman for the $120.7 billion pension fund.
The pension fund is looking for a single firm to provide non-discretionary consulting services. Current private equity consultant TorreyCove Capital Partners' contract was recently renewed for one year effective May 1. The new contract would be effective May 1, 2019. TorreyCove is invited to rebid.
NYSTRS' target allocations to private equity and private debt are 8% and 1%, respectively; their actual allocations as of Dec. 31 were 6.2% and 0.4%.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on May 10. A selection is expected around Nov. 16.
