Jude Perez was named principal investment officer for portfolio analytics at the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association, Pasadena, Calif., said Jonathan Grabel, chief investment officer for the $56.5 billion pension fund, in an email.
"It is a new position with responsibilities associated with cross-asset category functions, including risk management, performance reporting, corporate governance and asset allocation," Mr. Grabel said.
Mr. Perez had been deputy CIO of $15.9 billion New Mexico Public Employees Retirement Association, Santa Fe. He joined LACERA in February.
Dominic J. Garcia, CIO of New Mexico PERA, is traveling and currently unable to respond to questions.
