Cobb County, Marietta, Ga., is searching for record keepers for its 401(a) and 457 plans, according to a request for information posted on the BidNet Direct procurement website.
The county issued the RFI to collect information to be used "for the purpose of education on providers, their capabilities, pricing and other capabilities that might warrant the issuance of a formal RFP," the RFI said. The plans are a traditional 457 plan, with $134 million in assets, and 457 and 401(a) DC portions of hybrid plans with $12 million in combined assets. The current record keeper is ICMA-RC; whether the firm is invited to rebid could not be immediately learned.
The RFI is posted on the BidNet Direct procurement website. Registration is required. Proposals are due at noon EDT on March 29. A timeline for a decision was not provided.
Bill Volckmann, county finance director and comptroller, could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
