ACCESS Pool, Suffolk, England, hired Link Fund Solutions to establish, operate and oversee an authorized contractual scheme for its pooled assets.
The hire, led by Kent County Council's procurement team, was confirmed by a spokeswoman for the council.
ACCESS is a pool of 11 local government pension scheme funds representing about £42 billion ($57.9 billion) in assets.
A search notice filed with European procurement website Tenders Electronic Daily in September said the ACS operator's key functions would be to establish investment subfunds, and to appoint, manage and dismiss investment managers of those funds.
ACCESS consists of Cambridgeshire County Council Pension Fund, East Sussex Pension Fund, Essex Pension Fund, Isle of Wight Council Pension Fund, Norfolk Pension Fund, Suffolk County Council Pension Fund, East Sussex County Council Pension Fund, Hampshire Pension Fund, Kent Pension Fund, Northamptonshire Pension Fund and West Sussex Pension Fund.
