Milwaukee County Employees' Retirement System hired Quantitative Management Associates to run about $35 million in active emerging markets small-cap equities, recently released board meeting minutes said.
The $1.8 billion pension fund issued an RFP in October to add diversification to its international equity portfolio. Funding comes from reducing active emerging markets equity manager OFI Global Asset Management's portfolio to $35 million from $70 million.
Finalist information was not available. As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's allocation to international equities was 20.9%; the target is 20%.
