Ilya Fushman joined venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers as a general partner and managing member, spokeswoman Amanda Duckworth said in an email.
It is a new position; Mr. Fushman is not replacing another executive.
"Ilya will be making investments in companies and as all venture investors do, playing a key role in helping those companies scale," Ms. Duckworth said.
Mr. Fushman will invest in enterprise software and infrastructure companies, financial services and industries undergoing digital transformation.
Mr. Fushman was a general partner at Index Ventures. Ana Andreescu, an Index Ventures spokeswoman, confirmed Mr. Fushman is no longer a general partner at the firm. She did not disclose information on a replacement.
