Sean McCaffrey was named chief investment officer of the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board, Washington, said Kim Weaver, spokeswoman, in an email. The board administers the $528.4 billion Thrift Savings Plan.
Mr. McCaffrey replaces Ravindra Deo, effective immediately. Mr. Deo was named executive director in August following the departure of Greg Long in May. He has been functioning in both positions during the search for a new CIO.
Mr. McCaffrey was previously deputy CIO. Ms. Weaver said no decision has been made yet regarding that position.
