Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus, committed $50 million to BlackRock Style Advantage Fund, an alternative risk premium fund, said Tim Barbour, pension fund spokesman, in an email.
The $14.3 billion pension fund previously hired BlackRock in 2015 to manage a $100 million passive real estate investment trust portfolio.
This commitment falls within the pension fund's multiasset strategies portfolio, Mr. Barbour said. As of Dec. 31, the actual allocation to multiasset strategies was 9%; the target is 10%.
