Indiana Public Retirement System, Indianapolis, committed a total of $143 million to two energy-related private equity funds, according to a presentation made to the $34.4 billion system's board Friday.
INPRS committed $75 million to White Deer Energy Fund III, which invests in midmarket oil-related services and equipment, and $68 million to EnCap Flatrock Midstream Fund IV, which targets the midstream oil and gas industry. EnCap Flatrock is a joint venture of Flatrock Energy Advisors and EnCap Investments.
Separately, the system committed $50 million to LimeTree Capital, a specialist private equity real estate manager, to invest in a portfolio of Chinese parking garages.
Indiana Public Retirement had 11.6% in private markets investments and 6% in real estate, both as of Jan. 30.
