Garrie Lette, the chief investment officer of the A$9 billion ($7.1 billion) Catholic Super, will retire after eight years heading up the Melbourne-based superannuation fund's investment operations, a spokeswoman for the fund confirmed Thursday.
Efforts to find a successor already have been launched, and a candidate should be selected before Mr. Lette's departure "later in the year," said a Catholic Super news release.
The news release said Mr. Lette will be available "into the future as a trusted adviser."
Mr. Lette couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
