Sunrise (Fla.) Firefighters' Pension Fund hired Tocqueville Asset Management to run about $5 million in active international value equities, recently released board meeting minutes said.
The $130 million pension fund issued an RFP in June because incumbent manager DePrince, Race & Zollo was going to close its strategy.
The other finalists were Boston Partners and Systematic Financial Management.
As of Sept. 30, the pension fund's actual allocation to international equities was 10.4%.
Investment consultant Dahab Associates assisted.
Brittany Park, the pension fund's administrator at The Resource Centers, a third-party administration firm, could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
