Vijoy Chattergy is no longer chief investment officer of the $16.3 billion Hawaii Employees' Retirement System, Honolulu, an investment official confirmed in an email Tuesday. Further details on his departure could not immediately be learned. The investment official declined to provide additional information.
Mr. Chattergy and Executive Director Thomas Williams could not immediately be reached for comment.
Mr. Chattergy was named CIO of the pension fund in 2012, replacing Rod June who left to become CIO of the $17.8 billion Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System.
