AP7, Stockholm, hired Hamilton Lane Advisors to run a 2.5 billion Swedish kronor ($315 million) private equity fund-of-funds allocation.
Hamilton Lane will focus on buyouts and co-investments, a spokesman said.
The Swedish pension fund said in 2015 it expected commitments to private equity investments to grow with the fund's assets. "It is anticipated that three to four managers will be appointed to manage these assets for an initial period of three years with two optional two-year extensions," the original RFP said.
In January, AP7 named Adams Street Partners and HarbourVest Partners as the first two managers for segregated private equity funds of funds. The pension fund, which has more than 400 billion Swedish kronor in assets, committed 4.2 billion kronor to HarbourVest and 2.3 billion kronor to Adams Street.
