Bristol County Retirement System, Taunton, Mass., is searching for a U.S. core fixed-income manager to run about $42 million and a U.S. Treasury inflation-protected securities manager to run between $10 million and $12 million.
Segal Marco Advisors, investment consultant to the $600 million pension fund, is assisting with the searches.
The search is being conducted to comply with state law that states contracts have to go out to bid every few years, said Roxanne L. Donovan, executive director of the pension fund. Income Research & Management is the current manager for both allocations and is invited to rebid.
The RFPs are available on Segal Marco's website. Proposals for both searches are due by 3 p.m. EDT on March 14. Selections are expected to be made in May or June, Ms. Donovan said.
