Tim Gardener left Aon Hewitt, where he was a partner in the investment consulting practice, confirmed a spokesman.
He will not be directly replaced. It could not be learned why Mr. Gardener departed.
Mr. Gardener joined in March 2017. Prior to that, he spent seven years at AXA Investment Managers, where he was global head of the institutional client group and a senior client adviser.
The majority of his career was spent at consulting firms, including 24 years at Mercer, where he held roles including global chief investment officer.
