Arkansas Teacher Retirement System, Little Rock, approved up to $60 million total in commitments to two alternatives funds, said George Hopkins, executive director, in an email.
At its meeting on Monday, the board committed $30 million to CG Equity Opportunity Fund, an opportunistic alternatives fund managed by Circumference Group specializing in appraisal rights opportunities.
The board also approved an additional commitment of $30 million to the ATRS/Franklin Park Private Equity Fund, a co-investment/next generation manager fund run by Franklin Park Associates. The board also agreed to expand the fund to include appraisal right opportunities. The $16.1 billion pension fund committed $25 million to the fund in December, and has invested with Franklin Park since 2008.
