It's a good time to be a girl in money management industry, says Helena Morrissey, head of personal investing at Legal & General Investment Management Ltd.
The author of "A Good Time to be a Girl" tackles female issues in the workplace using her experiences as a working mother and an advocate for gender equality in the boardroom. Ms. Morrissey explores how women can work and boost performance of their companies, rather than repeating business practices and patterns that have been created by a male workforce.
Ms. Morrissey is an established ambassador for women's issues in the money management and investment world. The former CEO of Newton Investment Management Ltd. also founded the 30% Club to achieve greater female representation on U.K. corporate boards. The 30% Club has subsequently launched chapters internationally, including in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Africa and the U.S.
"A Good Time to be a Girl" is slated to be released Feb. 8 by William Collins at £14.99 ($21). An electronic version already is available for purchase.
