Tieu-Bich Nguyen will join Sun Life Investment Management in Hong Kong as head of Asia credit research, effective Feb. 7.
The position is a new one at the Toronto-based money manager.
A Sun Life news release said Ms. Nguyen will lead the manager's credit research team, and support its growth in Asia.
Ms. Nguyen will join from Wellington Management Co. in Boston, where she served as a senior vice president and partner focused on an emerging markets corporate investment strategy, a New York-based spokesman for the firm said.
Sara Lou Sherman, a spokeswoman for Wellington, could not be immediately reached for comment at press time.
Sun Life Investment Management has $45 billion in assets under management.
