AP7, Stockholm, is looking for a consultant to assist with a search for active alpha managers, a spokesman said.
The pension fund, which has more than 400 billion Swedish kronor ($49.6 billion) in assets, is preparing to search for active alpha managers and needs a consultant to help define the exact criteria for this work, said a document on its website.
It will search for eight to 12 managers to run a total of about 30 billion kronor across three separate allocations: long/short equity, long/short risk-factor strategies and risk-reducing strategies.
The chosen consultant will present a report on manager responses to the RFP and identify finalists, organize selection interviews, advise on the selection of the managers, and assist in the finalization of contracts, the document said.
Proposals for the consultant search are due March 8. The spokesman said the plan is to choose the consultant before the summer.
