Kansas Public Employees' Retirement System, Topeka, is adding three investment options to its $1 billion 457(b) plan, confirmed Kristen Basso, spokeswoman for the $18 billion pension system, in an email.
Effective Feb. 21, the American Funds EuroPacific Growth Fund, managed by Capital Group; the Metropolitan West Total Return Bond Fund, managed by Metropolitan West Asset Management; and the Schwab Treasury Inflation Protected Securities Index Fund, managed by Charles Schwab Investment Management, will be added to the lineup.
These funds are not replacing any others. The board approved adding three new asset classes so the 457 plan could provide "an appropriate range of investment options across core asset classes," especially for investors looking to construct their own portfolios, said Ms. Basso.
