Phoenix Employees' Deferred Compensation Board will begin a search for an investment consultant before the end of February, said Yolanda Briseno, program coordinator, in an email.
The board, which oversees the city's 401(a) and 457 plans with a combined $1.5 billion in assets, will issue an RFP due to the upcoming expiration of current consultant Hyas Group's contract on Aug. 31. The firm will be invited to rebid.
Ms. Briseno said the timeline has not been finalized, but it is likely the RFP will be posted in February, with a decision to be made in May or June.
The RFP will be posted on the city's purchasing website.
