Attleboro (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an active emerging markets equity manager to run about $7.5 million and a passive midcap equity manager to run about $7 million.
Dahab Associates, investment consultant for the $150 million pension fund, is assisting with the search.
The search is being conducted due to the adoption of a new asset mix, said Leslie Ring, executive director of the retirement system. There are no incumbent managers. The new asset allocation and how the searches will be funded could not be learned by press time.
Proposals for the emerging markets equity allocation should be in either commingled or mutual funds.
The RFPs are available on Dahab's website. Proposals for both searches are due by noon EST on Feb. 27. Selection dates have not yet been determined, but interviews are tentatively slated to take place at the board's April 26 meeting, said Ms. Ring.
