Washtenaw County, Ann Arbor, Mich., hired SHA Retirement Group as the first investment consultant for its $30 million 457 plan and $9 million 401(a) plan, said Monica Boote, executive director, human resources, in an email.
The county issued an RFP in September for its first consultant for both plans. SHA Retirement Group will also advise on a $1 million retiree health plan.
Bank of Ann Arbor and Dahab Associates were also finalists.
The plans' record keeper is TIAA-CREF. Both plans have 12 investment options and a TIAA-CREF target-date fund lineup. Asset allocation information was not available.
