Missouri State Employees' Retirement System, Jefferson City, hired executive search firm Korn Ferry to assist in the search for MOSERS' new executive director, a news release said.
The $8.1 billion pension fund issued an RFP in December because then-Executive Director John Watson's contract was set to expire on Aug. 31, 2018.
Mr. Watson, who had been executive director since Sept. 1, 2015, recently left the pension fund. His plans could not be learned. Ronda Stegmann, legislative and policy coordinator, was named interim executive director.
Candy Smith, pension fund spokeswoman, could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
